1. General By visiting our website or purchasing from Diamond House Jewellers (in-store or online), you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
2. Pricing & Availability (E&OE)
All prices displayed on the website are in South African Rand (ZAR).
Due to the global fluctuation of gold and diamond prices, we reserve the right to correct pricing errors without prior notice. Errors and Omissions Excepted (E&OE).
If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the product listed at the incorrect price.
3. Custom Designs (“Make-Ups”) & Remodelling
Deposits: A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required before any custom manufacturing or remodelling work begins.
Design Approval: It is the client’s responsibility to verify all design sketches, CAD drawings, and ring sizes before manufacturing commences.
No Returns on Custom Work: In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), custom-made or remodelled jewellery is not eligible for return or refund unless there is a material manufacturing defect. You cannot return a custom item simply because you have changed your mind.
4. Repairs & Stone Settings
Risk: While our goldsmiths treat every piece with the utmost care, Diamond House Jewellers accepts items for repair at the customer’s risk. We are not liable for damage to stones that are already cracked, treated, or fragile upon receipt.
Warranties: Watch repairs carry a specific warranty period (usually 6-12 months) which covers the mechanical work done, but excludes water damage, shock, or misuse.
5. Returns & Refunds (Standard Stock)
Defective Goods: If a standard stock item (not custom) is defective, it may be returned within 6 months for repair, replacement, or refund, provided the defect is a manufacturing fault and not due to wear and tear or negligence.
Change of Mind: Returns for “change of mind” on standard stock items are at the discretion of management and must be done within 7 days of purchase. Items must be unworn, in original packaging, and accompanied by the receipt.
